Optimist - Palamos Trophy - Palamos ESP - Final results
The Palamos Trophy came to an end yesterday with two more final races. The Spanish Optimists dominated the action with a 5-fold victory right to the end. ----- Thanks to two 2nd places, Iker Mugica ESP took a clear win ahead of Joan Domingo ESP and Pepe Garcia ESP. Olga Lubianska UKR was the best girl in 8th place, and Eivinn Löfteröd SUI was the best Swiss in 16th. Tenma Rösti (35th), Lewin Liatard SUI (49th), Edward Hirsch SUI (56th), and Andrea Vitali SUI (63rd) are the next Swiss who sailed the first part of their World Championship qualification in Palamos. ----- The ranking list and the final report.

In initially fresh winds of around 15 knots, easing to 6-8 knots for the second race, the huge fleet, divided into 5 groups, was able to finish 2 races each yesterday. ----- Oscar Wetter SWE was the only one to win both races in his group, followed one point behind by Juan Lleonart ESP in second place. Optimist - Palamos Trophy - Palamos ESP - First races today
550 participants from 26 nations are tackling the first race of the Palamos Trophy today. Alongside Spain and France, Switzerland has one of the largest delegations, as the Palamos Trophy is also their first selection regatta for the European and World Championships. Optis from the USA, Mexico and Hong Kong will also be taking part. ----- The event website.
