Deception with the two teams yesterday as the big breeze of the Roaring Forties did not share the party. Both Maxi-Trimarans lost much ground on the record in a slackening wind. 'Spindrift' with Yann Guichard FRA is now as much as 226 miles behind the record, and 'IDEC' with Francis Joyon FRA has already a 746 miles backlog, i.e. over a day. Only this evening, a fresher breeze should fill in from the West.
