The Moth Bermuda Invitational Regatta began yesterday with three races and an avarage 10-12 kn wind, just could enough to get the skiffs flying, except a short moment after a rain shower in the second heat. In absence of the World Champion Peter Burling NZL and the Sunday tune-up winner Nathan Outteridge AUS, held on duty by his employer 'Aremis Racing', the English team dominated the regatta with Peter Greenalgh GBR as double race winner ahead of the 2008 Olympic Laser Champion Paul Goodison GBR. Back after a longer pause, Chris Rashley GBR followed on rank 3. Anthony Kotoun ISV is 9th, Chris Rast USA/SUI 15th among the 56 participants. Bad luck for the former Laser World Champion Tom Slingsby AUS, who broke a foil in the lead of race 1. He rejoined the fleet only in the third race of the day.
