Light winds prevailed also on the second day of the Copa do Brasil and the races were completed according to program.
Bouvet/Mion FRA extended their lead in the 470 men with two 2nd ranks. Belcher/Ryan AUS follow 12 points behind on rank 2 at equal points with Fantela/Marenic CRO. French is the lead also in the 470 women with Lecointre/Defrance FRA, 10 points ahead of Vadlau/Ogar AUT. Kondo/Yoshioka JPN are 3rd. Leader change in the 49erFX where Echegoyen/Bertanzos ESP are now on top ahead of Bekkering/Duetz NED and Dobson/Ainsworth GBR as first chasers. In the 49ers are Outteridge/Jensen AUS in the lead closely followed by Pink/Bithell GBR and Lange/Lange ARG. Giles Scott GBR corrected the suboptimal performance on the opening day with two race wins and climbed on rank 1 in the Finns in front of Jonas Hoegh-Christensen DEN and Vasilij Zbogar SLO on the ranks 2 and 3. Two race wins also for Thomas Zajac/Tanja Frank AUT, taking the lead in the Nacra 17 ahead of Ben Saxton/Nicola Groves GBR and Billy Besson/Marie Riou FRA. In the RS:X men windsurfers, the Olympic Champion Dorian Van Rijsselberghe NED remains on top. Zofia Nofreti-Klepacka POL has a small lead on Bryony Shaw GBR in the RS:X women.
