 Trophee Jules Verne Day 30
The long awaited fresh south-westerly breeze stayed on during the past 24 hours and both Maxi-Trimarans rush at full-speed with up to 40 kn direction Cape Horn that they will probably round tomorrow Tuesday. During the last two days, the considerable backlogs were more than compensated with high speeds and also thanks to a shorter course near the 60th latitude south. 'Spindrift' (Yann Guichard FRA/ Dona Bertarelli SUI) had an advance on the record of 360 miles this morning, 'IDEC' (Francis Joyon FRA) were 245 miles ahead of the record.
