Four days are left for the two maxi-trimarans to beat the circumnavigation record ! Yesterday, both teams reduced the backlog considerably, above all thanks to a more direct route back to France. However, 'Spindrift' would have to cover 700 miles a day and 'IDEC' even 800 miles - a difficult task for Yann Guichard FRA and Dona Bertarelli SUI and mission impossible for Francis Joyon FRA.
