At the end of a mostly rainy day, Laser racing resumed around 16 h EST in a rain front accompanied by a fresher 12-17 kn breeze.
Rutger Van Schaardenburg NED remained on top of the Lasers Standard inspite of a premature start. Jean-Baptiste Bernaz FRA on 2nd is now 10 points behind. Robert Scheidt BRA, with a 2nd place yesterday bringing him on 3rd overall, has been approaching the top ranks more and more. Only minor position changes with the best North Americans by nation: Buckingham USA 11th, Parkhill CAN 17th, Thompson ISV 21st, Gentry MEX 42nd, Perdomo PUR 57th
With her 5th race rank in a row, the first one in the Goldfleet, Marit Bouwmeester NED is the superior leader in the Lasers Radial. Evi Van Acker BEL and Lijia Xu CHN remain the first persuers. The best-by-nation NorAm ladies are Bowskill CAN 12th, Railey USA 15th and Montemayor MEX 38th.
Today, the Qualification Series for the Gold and Silver Fleets will be concluded. All ranking lists and the daily report.
