Finn European Championship 2016 Barcelona ESP Day 3
Cool temperatures and rain prevailed yesterday during the fourth race of the Finn Europeans. The unconstant very shifty breeze provoked some major flops with some favorites.
Day winner was Ben Cornish GBR, advancing on rank 4 overall. Josh Junior NZL, the only one with nothing but one-digit results, moved up on top, as the previous leader Milan Vujasinovic CRO finished only 44th dropping on rank 5 for the time being. But with the discard of the worst result after race 5 today, his changes remain intact to regain the lead. Constant results have also been delivered up to now by Berecz Zsombor HUN, who occupies rank 2 with a 9 points' backlog on the first. New on rank 3 is the Olympia medalist Pieter-Jan Postma NED.
Astonishing results by Tom Ramshaw CAN on rank 6 having migrated from the Laser a few months ago only. The duel for the Rio selection between Zach Railey USA, rank 12, and Caleb Paine USA, 7 points back on rank 21 might well change in favor of Paine, who has a 58th place to discard (Railey a 38th).
The results, the daily report and the video of the day.
