Olympic Classes - Trofeo Princesa Sofia - Palma ESP - Day 2

Yesterday, only a light thermal breeze of 5-8 kn prevailed on Palma Bay.
This had no influence in the 470 men, where Belcher/Ryan AUS finished 1 and 3 and were again the best of the day, extending their overall lead. McNay/Hughes USA and Dahlberg/Bergström SWE remain the first persuers. In the 470 women, Oliveira/Barbachan BRA on 2nd reduced the backlog on the leading Seabright/Carpenter GBR. New on rank 3 are Bochmann/Steinherr GER with the day ranks 1 and 4.
In the 49ers, Delle-Karth/Resch AUT took the lead ahead of Botin/Lopez ESP and Seaton/McGovern IRL. The leading trio in the 49ers FX is separated by one point only. Bekkering/Duetz NED remained on top ahead of Mai-Jansen/Salskov DEN. New on the 3rd place are Grael/Kunze BRA.
Surprisingly, Giles Scott GBR had difficulties in the light wind and lost the first place to Josh Junior NZL. Pieter-Jan Postma NED moved up on rank 3. After six races, Besson/Riou FRA in the Nacra 17 are already 13 points ahead of Kohlhoff/Werner GER. Zajac/Frank AUT are now on the 3rd place.
In the RS:X men, Tom Squires is the sole leader after yesterday's races. Both with the day ranks 1 and 2, Byron Kokkalanis GRE and Andreas Cariolou CYP are now on the positions 2 and 3 overall. Olga Maslivets RUS defended her first place in the RS:X women in front of Lilian de Geus NED and Charline Picon FRA both new on 2nd and 3rd. Marion Lepert USA is on the excellent 4th place.
