The Qualifications for the Medal Race at the Trofeo Princesa Sofia were concluded yesterday in a 15 k breeze.
The 17 points'advance of Andrew Maloney NZL in the Lasers Standard should be sufficient for the overall victory, provided he finishes the Medal Race not as last. Tonci Stipanovic CRO on 2nd is 10 points ahead of Robert Scheidt BRA. Medal chances are also with Julio Alsogaray ARG on 4th, 4 points behind Scheidt.
16 points is the advantage of Tuula Tenkanen FIN in the Lasers Radial. Silver and Bronze will be decided in a big battle with Sarah Gunni DEN, Evi Van Acker BEL, Anne-Marie Rindom DEN and Alison Young GBR, separated by 9 points.
