 Olympic Classes  Delta Lloyd Regatta  Medemblik NED  Day 3, Canadians plunge in RS:X men
Moderate winds around 12 kn prevailed on the third day of the Delta Lloyd Regatta on the Ijssel-Meer. With the discard in effect, numerous position changes in the overall rankings occurred.
Yesterday, Giacomo Ferrari/Giulio Calabro ITA won both heats reducing the backlog on the still leading Simon Sivitz/Jas Farneti ITA on 2 points. Charlotte Yven/Marie Riou FRA on rank 6 are now the best women's team. In the 49ers, Diego Botin/Iago Lopez ESP extended their lead on Schmidt/Böhme GER on 10 points. Kevin Fischer/Yann Jauvin FRA advanced on the 3rd place. A class of his own remains Dorian Van Rijsselberge NED in the RS:X windsurfers leading with a 28 points' advantage. Paul Rozier FRA and Aicheng Wang CHN are the first persuers. Finishes in the 20ies again and the discard made the Canadians clearly drop out of the top-10. Zach Plavsic CAN is down from 5th to 14th and Gabriel Verrier-Paquette CAN from 9th to 21st. Lilian De Geus NED is the new leader in the RS:X women 2 points ahead of Zofia Noceti-Klepacka POL. Yesterday, the Foiler Moths join the racing activities. After 3 races, Ben Koppelaar NED leads with a 2 points'advantage on Sven Coster NED. Sven Kloppenburg GER follows on the 3rd position.
