IMOCA Open 60 - Transat New-York-Vendée - New York USA - Day 1

Light winds prevailed yesterday at the start of the Transat New York - Vendée over 3'300 miles across the North Atlantic to Les Sables d'Olonne FRA. The 14 Solo Skippers are heading North at speeds around 15 kn and after 10 hours' racing this morning, it was Jean-Pierre Dick FRA with his 'St.Michel-Virbac' leading one mile ahead of Morgan Lagravière FRA on 'Safran'. The boats are obviously still very close together.
