IMOCA Open 60 - Transat New-York-Vendée - New York USA - Day 11 - victory for Jérémy Béyou FRA

Jérémy Béyou FRA with his 'Maître Coq' crossed - as expected - yesterday the finish line after 9 days and 17 hours as winner of the Transat 'New York-Vendée' with a 14,85 kn speed average. He was sailing an 'old generation' Open 60 (the former 'Banque Populiare', 2nd at the last Vendée with Armel Le Cléac'h FRA), updated with foils during the past winter. With the small backlog of 2h 28min followed Sébastien Josse FRA with his brand-new foiling 'Edmond de Rothschild'. On rank 3 roughly 4 hours behind was Alex Thompson GBR on 'Hugo Boss', also a new design foiling yacht. Today, Paul Meihlat FRA will arrive as 4th.
