 Olympic Worldcup 2016  Weymouth GBR  Day , 1 USA and 7 CAN teams qualified for the Medal Races
All classes sailed the planned program at the Weymouth Worldcup in a 6-10 kn wind yesterday.
The 470s competed three races per fleet. In the 470 men, Luke Patience/Chris Grube GBR defended their first place, but the best of the day, Jordi Xammar/Joan Herp ESP, joined them on top points-wise. Still candidates for the overall victory are Fantela/Marenic CRO on 3rd with a 6 points' backlog before today's Medal Race. In the 470 women, Linda Fahrni/Maja Siegenthaler SUI reclaimed the first place at equal points with the English Olympia team Hannah Mills/Saskia Clarke GBR. On the 3rd place with an 8 points' deficit follow Seabright/Carpenter GBR.
Logan Dunning/Jack Simpson NZL have a solid 15 points' advantage in the 49ers before the Medal Race. Przybytek/Kolodzinski POL, Fletcher/Sign GBR and Pink/Bithell GBR will fight for Silver and Bronze. Fully open is the situation in the 49ersFX, where Alexandra Maloney/Molly Meech NZL have a 2 points' lead on Julia Gross/CeciliaJonsson SWE.
Giles Scott GBR moved on top of the Finns one point ahead of Ben Cornish GBR. 4, respectively 5 points behind, Max Salminen SWE and Jonathan Lobert FRA will fight for the Medals as well. Ben Saxton/Nicola Groves GBR added three bullets on their results' sheet as overall leaders in the Nacra 17, 6 points ahead of Paul Kohlhoff/Carolina Werner GER on rank 2, and 13 points ahead of Bissarro/Sicouri ITA on rank 3.
In the RS:X men, Toni Wilhelm GER defended his first place ahead of Chunzhuang Liu CHN nd Aichen Wang CHN. 10 points is the lead of Peina Chen CHN in the RS:X women on Isobel Hamilton GBR.

- 49erFX: Erin Rafuse/Danielle Boyd CAN 10th
- Nacra-17: Bora Gulari/Louisa Chafee USA 6th, Luke Ramsay/Nicola Gierke CAN 8th
- RS:X men: Zach Plavsic CAN 9th
- RS:X women: Olivia Mew CAN 4th
- Laser Standard: Lee Parkhill CAN 6th, Chris Barnard USA 32nd
- Laser Radial: Brenda Bowskill CAN 9th
