After the start on early Saturday morning, François Gabart headed North with his Maxi-Trimaran 'Macif' to touch the low-pressure fronts from the West as soon as possible. This morning, he was 138 miles behind the record of Francis Joyon FRA, but once in the fresh westerly winds, he will without doubt accelerate and catch-up the backlog.
