Class 40, Multi 50, Ultime, Open - Transat Quebec CAN- St.Malo FRA - Day 1

Yesterday, the start to the W to E Transat was given in Quebec FRA with 31 teams on the entry list. The biggest fleet are the Class 40. Among the participants in the Ultime multihulls (starting on Wednesday) is Yann Guichard FRA with his Maxi trimaran 'Spindrift 2' aiming for a record passage. This morning, the fleet was sailing along the American Coast direction North. Phil Sharp GBR has been the first leader in the Class 40, but the gaps between the boats are small.
