After 10 days' racing, the Multi-50 Trimarans are now in the final approach on St-Malo. 'Arkena' with Lalou Roucayrol FRA still in the lead had 176 miles left to the finish line this morning, but the race is not over yet as Gilles Lamiré FRA on rank 2 was only 32 miles behind, and even Thierry Brouchard FRA with a 42 miles' backlog has chances for the overall victory. Starting 3 days late, the Maxi-Trimaran 'Spindrift II' with Yann Guichard FRA has now passed all earlier starter and will reach St-Malo this afternoon taking the line honours. In the Class 40, the outsider Gonzalo Botin ESP has extended his lead on 31 miles. Phil Sharp GBR and another mile back Thibault Vauchel-Camus FRA are the first challengers. Isabelle Joschke GER/FRA descended on rank 5 with a 43 miles backlog. The Class 40 will be underway for 3 more days.
