World Sailing - Annual Conference 2016 - Barcelona ESP - Day 3 - Santiago Lange ARG and Hannah Mills/Sakia Clarke GBR World Sailors of the Year 2016

Yesterday evening, the World Sailors of the Year have been proclaimed at the WS Annual Conference Dinner Party. All nominees have been Olympic successfuls. The men's winner is the Nacra-17 Olympic Champion Santiago Lange ARG. In his 6th Olympiad, he won his third medal at the age of 54, and this one year after having been diagnosed with cancer with half of the lung amputated.
Winners in the women are the 470 Olympic Champions Hannah Mills/Saskia Clarke GBR, who - after their Silver Medal in London 2012 - progressed considerably over the passed four years.
