Around the world record - Day 5 - Thomas Coville FRA about to cross the Equator

After his high-speed ride down the North Atlantic, Thomas Coville FRA with his Maxi-Trimaran 'Sodebo' has almost passed the innertropical convergence zone, the Doldrums, with light and unconstant winds early this morning UTC and is about to cross the Equator. The unfavorable conditions made him loose almost 100 nm on the record of Francis Joyon FRA, but he has still a comfortable 247 nm advantage.
