Around the world record - Maxi-Trimaran 'Sodebo' - Day 6

Thomas Coville FRA had an excellent start to his solo round-the-world record attempt reaching the Equator in a record time, and no wonder, he is fully satisfied as he explains in a video interview posted on facebook. The chosen weather window developped according to the calculations and the maxi trimaran was already off Recife at the Brazilian East Coast this morning UTC. The advantage on the existing record has grown to 371 nm, and the average speed up to now is 28 kn (52 km/h). The next challenge ahead is the wide-spread St-Helena anticyclone that must be circumvented on a best-possible route.
