Trophée Jules Verne - Francis Joyon FRA with Trimaram 'IDEC' underway

Yesterday evening shortly after 20h UTC, Francis Joyon FRA with his Maxi-Trimatan 'IDEC' (the former 'Groupama') departed to a round-the-world record attempt for teams, the Trophy Jules Verne. Member of the small crew are also Bernard Stamm SUI and Boris Herrmann GER. The record to be beaten of Loïck Peyron FRA on 'Banque Populaire' is 45 days, 13 hours and 42 minutes. 'IDEC' had a rather slow start, but the start time has been fixed with the objective to reach an approaching depression from the West on time to have a fast ride deep South.
