The leading trio sailing in the Indian Ocean has lost more and more speed, and the second-ranked Armel Le Cléac'h FRA ('Banque Populaire') could reduce the backlog on the leader Alex Thompson GBR to 35 nm. Morgan Lagravière FRA ('Safran') sailing on the 4th position was the next victim of flotsam yesterday cutting off foil appendage. The newcomer from Olympic sailing was forced to abandon the race. Paul Meilhat FRA, Jérémy Béyou FRA and Yann Eliès FRA are now the chaser trio rounding the Cape of Good Hope today. Rich Wilson USA on the 'Great American' is now on rank 17 after the retirement of Lagravière FRA.
