IMOCA Open 60 - Vendée Globe 2016/17 - Day 35

After a rough week with fresh winds and a number of abandonments and repair stops, the situation has calmed down somewhat. Romain Attanasio FRA could repair the rudders damaged by flotsam in a bay near Capetown, and is back in the race. Arnaud Boissières FRA too was able to fix the top of his main sail. The leader Armel Le Cléac'h FRA is now clearly ahead of Alex Thompson GBR with a 180 nm advantage. Rich Wilson USA is on position 18.
