As reported yesterday, the JJ Giltinan Regatta sailed race 5 in light winds with 'Asko Appliances' of Marcus Ashley-Jones AUS as winner, 3:11 min ahead of 'Harken' with Howie Hamlin USA. 'C-Tech' of Alex Vallings NZL followed on rank 3. First in the overall rankings (without discard) is 'Thurlow Fisher Lawyers' with Michael Coxon AUS, but there will be a close-up with the discard in effect after 6 races. Today is lay day, tomorrow Saturday, race 6 will be sailed. After his 2nd race rank in the 5th heat, Howie Hamlin USA advanced on rank 12 overall. The crucial decision for the title will fall in the 7th and final race on Sunday.
