 2.4m, Hansa 303  Paralympic World Championship 2017  Kiel GER  Final results, no North Americans in top ranks
The Paralympic Classes World Championship was concluded in Kiel on Sunday. Three more races were held in a 15-18 kn wind.
The situation in the 2.4m before the last race was more than exciting: The frist three boats were separated by 2 points only. Heiko Kröger GER controlled the nerves on his home waters grasping his second World Champions' title. Matt Bugg AUS and Damien Séguin FRA followed on the ranks 2 and 3. Dee Smith USA was demonstrating his class with five top-ten results, but three downers (UFS, DNF, DNC) relegated him on the 16th place overall.
Violeta del Reino ESP won the title in the Hansa 303 women, and Piotr Cichocki POL is World Champion in the Hansa 303 men. Edward Leroy USA did not sail the last four races and finished the Championship on rank 24.
