 Laser  Master World Championship 2017  Split CRO  Day 3, with NorAm sailors on top ranks in almost all categories
Finally yesterday, the first races were sailed at the Laser World Masters Championship in Split CRO after two windless days. 2 to 3 races were held by fleet in an 8 to 12 kn wind.
In the Apprentice Masters, Maciej GrabowskiPOL is first, David Hillmyer USA is 12th. In the largest fleet, the Laser Standard Grand Masters (age 55-65) with 68 boats, Alan Clark CAN has taken the lead ahead of Thomas Nordquist SWE and Andy Roy CAN at equal points on rank 2. Matt Fisher USA is 31st, Tim Landt USA 32nd. In the Standard Masters, Brett Beyer AUS is on top one point ahead of Peter Hurley USA and Ernesto Rodriguez USA. The best Canadian Ray Davies CAN is 8th. In the Standard Great Grand Masters, Mark Bethwaite AUS is first. Doug Peckover USA is 4th, John Dawson-Edwards CAN 8th.
In the Radial Great Grand Masters (62 boats), the leader is Robert Lowndes AUS. Kerry Waraker AUS on 2nd is the best 75+. Bill Simes USA is 3rd. Luis Barros MEX is 5th. Peter Seidenberg USA on 8th is the 2nd 75+ athlete. Rudolph Ratset USA leads in the Radial Grand Masters. Peter Woytkowiak USA is 2nd. In the Radial Masters, Alessio Marinelli ITA is on top, Kimberly Couranz USA is 19thth. In the Radial Apprentice Masters, Jon Emmett GBR is first, David Waiting USA is 3rd.
