Trophée Jules Verne - Spindrift dismasts before the start
Tuesday, January 16, 2018
On the way to the start of their second attempt at the Jules Verne Round-the-World Record, the giant 140-foot trimaran 'Spindrift 2' lost the mast while tacking in a 30kn breeze and in rough seas. The reason is still unknown. After two months' waiting for a suitable weather window, this is the end for this time.
