With the wind and sea state on Biscayne Bay failing to moderate during the day - winds averaging nearly 30 miles per hour, with gusts close to 40 - sailing was cancelled for the day. The Qualification Series for the Skiffs, Nacra 17 catamarans and windsurfers in view of the Medal Races of today are herewith concluded. The USA Sailing Team will be represented in the Skiffs and the Nacras. The other 5 classes will sail the final Qualification heats today to select the 10 best per class for tomorrow's Medal Races.
In the Nacra 17, Jason Waterhouse/Lisa Darmanin AUS are the premature winners with a 19 points' lead. In all other classes, the outcome is fully open.
