With winds averaging nearly 30kn, gusts close to 40kn and rough seas, sailing was cancelled on Friday. The forecast for today predicts moderate winds for the last Qualification Series races of the two Laser fleets.
In the Lasers Radial, Emma Plaeschart BEL might well be the premature winner by this evening, as she has a 22 points' lead on rank 2. Manami Doi JPN and Anne-Marie Rindom DEN are the first chasers.
In the Lasers Standard, Tom Burton AUS has a 10 points' advantage on Philipp Buhl GER. The World Champion Pavlos Kontides CYP on rank 11 has to fight for the rank 10 cut in today's heats.
