With 10-12kn, the wind on Hyères Bay was for the first time somewhat fresher yesterday. The RS:X windsurfers, 49ers, 49ersFX and Nacras-17 catamarans concluded the Qualification Series and will sail the Medal Races today. The other classes will held the Final Races tomorrow Sunday.
French will be the winner in the RS:X men windsurfers as the leading Pierre Le Coq FRA could only be replaced on top by Louis Giard FRA 12 points behind. On rank 3 follows Mengfan Gao CHN. 13 points is the advantage of Zofia Noceti-Klepacka POL on Peina Chen CHN in the RS:X women windsurfers.
Fully open is the situation in the 49ers, where the leading Buksak/Wierzbicki POL are only one point ahead of Gilmour/Turner AUS. In the 49ersFX, Ida-Marie Baad/Marie Thusgard DEN have a 5 points' lead on Alexandra Maloney/Molly Meech NZL. Stephanie Roble/Margaret Shea USA on rank 11 clearly missed the Medal Race cut with a 25 points' deficit on rank 10.
Already decided are the top ranks in the Nacra 17 catamarans as Ruggero Tita/Caterina Banti ITA have now a 40 points' lead on Ben Saxton/Nicola Boniface GBR, who, on their turn, have a 15 points' advantage on the 3rd-ranked Vittorio Bissaro/Maelle Frascari ITA.
The 470s sail their last Qualificastion races today. Camille Lecointre/Aloise Retornaz FRA are first in the 470 women 7 points ahead of Mills/McIntyre GBR. Another 5 points back are Mas-Depares/Cantero ESP. Dahlberg/Bergström SWE defended their first position in the 470 men, but Belcher/Ryan AUS moved up on rank 2 with two bullets yesterday. Isozaki/Takayanagi JPN follow on rank 3.
No change on the podium positions in the Finns with Nicholas Heiner NED leading ahead of Jorge Zarif BRA and Alican Kaynar TUR.

No North Americans are qualified for today's Medal Races, but three options are left for tomorrow. Their positions are:
