Inspite of a disqualification, the Olympic Champion Marit Bouwmeester NED can celebrate a superior victory in the Lasers Radial before the Medal Race as her advantage is 44 points. Monika Mikkola FIN and Paige Railey USA are on a safe way on the podium. Erika Reineke USA will sail the Medal Race as well as 9th.
In the Lasers Standard, Sam Meech NZL is the only athlete with a theoretical chance to replace Jean-Baptiste Bernaz FRA 13 points in front from rank one. The Olympic Champion Tom Burton AUS will terminate as 3rd.
