The 470 World Championship 2019 begins today in Japan with the Practice Race. In addition to the title and medals, six more Olympic Nations berth are at stake for the Women and four for the Men. ----- Among the contenders are the four USA 470 women teams
Nikole Barnes/Lara Dallman-Weiss (St. Francis YC/New York YC), Emily Bornarth/Laura Slovensky (Oyster Bay 470 Team), Carmen Cowles/Emma Cowles (Larchmont YC) and Atlantic Brugman Cabot/Nora Brugman Cabot (Shelter Island YC). ----- Joshua Yale/Michael Montagnese CAN endeavour to grasp a berth in the 470 men, where the USA are already qualified. Stuart McNay/David Hughes USA (Trevor Moore Foundation) and Trevor Davis/Trevor Bornarth USA (Severn Sailing Association/Oyster Bay 470 Team) are on the 470 Worlds starting list. ----- The entry lists, the official preview and the event facebook page with videos.
