 Laser Standard + Radial  Master World Championship  Port Zelande NED  Day 5, Champions practically decided in 6 of the 9 events before the last races of today
Two more races were sailed yesterday at the Laser World Masters in the Netherlands in a 10kn wind, and in a number of class categories, preliminary decisions have been made before the final races of today. ----- In the Lasers Standard, Wolfgang Gerz GER has a 12 point lead in the Great Grand Masters (65-75). Don Hahl USA stayed on rank 4. Carlos Martinez ESP with a 23 point advantage in the Grand Masters (55-65) can hardly be removed from the top. Peter Vesella USA is down on 6th. Even 33 points is the advance of Serge Kats NED in the Standard Masters (45-55). Peter Hurley USA] remained on 6th. Only in the Standard Apprentices (35-45), the outcome is open as the first three - Van Vianen NED, West ESP and Scott NZL - are separated by 2 points only. Gord Welsh CAN on rank 4 is 18 points from the podium. ----- In the Lasers Radial, most decisions re the Champions seem to be made as well. Scott Leigh NZL is first in the Radial Masters (45-55) with a 13 point advance. Robert Hallawell USA follows on rank 7. Jeff Loosemore AUS in the Radial Great Grand Masters (65-75) has also a 13 point advantage on Bill Symes USA on 2nd. Another dominating leader is Jon Emmett GBR in the Radial Apprentices (35-45) 13 points ahead as well. In the Radial Grand Masters (55-65) however, the title will be decided today in a duel between Gilles Coadou FRA and 5 points behind Kim Tan NED. Timothy Woodford CAN will remain on rank 3. Close is the situation also in the Radial Legends (75 ) with Kerry Waraker AUS, Johan Van Rossem CAN and Kevin Philipps AUS within 3 points only. ----- The daily news with links to the ranking lists.
