Olympic Classes - 2021 US Open Sailing Series - Fort Lauderdale - final results

The inaugural event of the US Olympic Classes Open Sailing Series was held for the Lasers in Fort Lauderdale. ----- In the Lasers Standard, Juan Ignacio Maegli GUA finished first 7 points ahead of Francisco Guaragna Rigonat ARG and another 6 points in front of Charlie Buckingham USA. ----- In the Open Lasers Radial, the U19 Chapman Petersen USA was the clear winner 11 points ahead of Robby Meek USA. The first woman Sarah Douglas CAN followed another 4 points back on third, 9 points ahead of Paige Railey USA in 4th. ----- Umi Noritake USA was first in the 23-boat Laser 4.7 fleet. ----- The US Sailing Report and the results. ----- US Sailing and host yacht clubs at spectacular sailing venues in Florida and California are thrilled to organize this new domestic racing and training series of Olympic-class regattas in 2021 for U.S. athletes with a long-term goal of attracting top-level international competitors to race in these regattas for years to come. Next events in Miami and Clearwater in the coming weeks for all Olympic Classes.
