470 - Warm-Up Regatta - Vilamoura POR - Final results

Yesterday, the warm-up series of the 470s in Vilamoura came to an end with races 8 and 9. Competitions will continue with the Coach Regatta on 25 April, followed by the European Championship on 30 April. ----- Jordi Xammar/Nicolas Rodriguez ESP had another convincing day with ranks 1 and 3 winning overwhelmingly overall 20 points ahead of Kevin Peponnet/Jérémy Mion FRA. Anton Dahlberg/Frederik Bergström SWE followed in third place. ----- The best women team were Camille Lecointre/Aloise Retornaz FRA in 8th place, followed by Luise Wanser/Anastasyia Winkel GER in 10th, with Linda Fahrni/Maja Siegenthaler SUI right behind in 11th place. ----- Stuart McNay/David Hughes USA (Trevor Moore Foundation) concluded the event with the excellent 2nd and 6th race ranks advancing on the 4th place overall. A premature start disqualification and a 20th race rank relegated Louisa Nordstrom/Trevor Bornarth USA (Oyster Bay 470 Team) to 20th overall, and victory in the 470 Mixed went to Marco Gradoni/Alessandra Dubbini ITA in 15th. The US Olympic 470 woman team Nikole Barnes/Lara Dallman Weiss USA (StFYC)/NYYC WBYC) followed in 21st, just behind the new US Mixed team, while Carmen and Emma Cowles USA (Larchmont YC) remained in 27th among the 44 teams from 13 nations. ----- The ranking list and the video of day 3.
