Yesterday, Franck Cammas/Charles Caudrelier FRA reached the finish line with their Ultime trimaran Edmond de Rothschild as winners of their category. They covered the 9200-mile distance with an average speed of 24kn (45 km/h). With 8 hours behind, François Gabart/Tom Laperche FRA (SVR Lartigues) followed in second place, one hour later Banque Populaire with Armel Le Cléac'h/Kevin Escoffier FRA also finished. The OceanFifty class has almost completed its race. We reported yesterday on the victory of Sébastien Rogues/Matthieu Souben FRA, meanwhile 6 of the 7 teams have finished the race, Gilles Lamiré FRA/Yvan Bourgnon SUI were 6th. Tomorrow the Open 60 will also finish their Transat. The leaders Thomas Ruyant/Morgan Lagravière FRA (LinkedOut) were 394 miles short this morning. 'Apivia' with Charlie Dalin/Paul Meilhat FRA are 165 miles behind. Excitement remains in the Class 40, which is about to cross the Atlantic in inconsistent trade winds. Antoine Carpentier FRA/Pablo Santurde ESP are still in the lead, Jan Lipinski POL/Julien Pulvé FRA are now 32 miles behind in second place. With 57 miles behind in 6th place, Simon Koster/Valentin Gautier SUI still have all chances, still more than 1'000 miles to go. The race tracker and the reports.
