America's Cup News - Alinghi Red Bull Racing official Challenger !

At a press conference of the challenging club, two-time America's Cup holder Société Nautique of Geneva, Ernesto Bertarelli SUI and Dietrich Mateschitz AUT (Red Bull) presented the Swiss challenger for the 37th America's Cup (2024 in New Zealand). Respecting the Nations Rule, Alinghi will sail under the Swiss flag, with the team including proven foiling experts Alinghis (GC32, TF35, Moth) Arnaud Psarofaghis SUI and Bryan Mettraux SUI, recruitment has only just begun. Also back in the team is Brad Butterworth NZL. With Red Bull as a partner, Alinghi has access to the technical experts of the Formula One racing team, just as INEOS UK (Mercedes). There are speculations, that Team New Zealand (McLaren) and Luna Rossa (Ferrari) might also seek cooperation with Formula One teams. ----- The report.
