SRS Bol d'Or SN Geneve Today start at 10 am
For the 150th anniversary of the Société Nautique de Genève, a Bol d'Or of superlatives starts today at 10 am. At the start are 437 teams from 7 nations. The forecast is for light winds, so it will probably be a slow race. Nevertheless, the foiling TF35 catamarans are likely to decide the victory among themselves: 'Alinghi' and 'Realteam' have shared the victories so far this season, but last year's winner Bertrand De Mole SNG (with, among others, multiple Nacra 17 World Champion Billy Besson FRA) also wants to defend his title. If foiling is not possible, the M2 catamarans will also be at the front. The Hungarian Libera 'Raffica' with Szolt Kiraly HUN is aiming for her third win in a row in the monohulls. A large fleet of Psaros 40 and 33 will try to prevent this. The Bol d'Or will be broadcast live and can also be followed via GPS-Tracking. The event Facebook page.
