SRS Bol d'Or SN Geneve Final results No foiling weather !
Calm conditions for the 83rd Bol d'Or ! The very light winds allowed the favoured TF35 catamarans to take off with their foils only exceptionally. The well-tried D35 catamarans made the race: With a lead of almost 2 hours, Christian Wahl SNG won with his young team with the Olympic-experienced Romuald Hausser CNV, Romain Defferard CNV, Nelson Mettraux CNV, Guillaume Rol SNG and Matieu Tadei CNV. For Christian Wahl it is already the 8th Bol-d'Or victory...a new record. As the only TF35 Cat, Loïck Peyron FRA could hold his ground well in 2nd place. In 3rd place is the second D35 Cat of Nicolas Grange SNG. The report of the catamarans. The slow race meant that even the best monohulls were able to keep up: For the third time in a row, Zsoltan Kiraly HUN took the win with his Libera 'Raffica'. With 3 hours behind the winners, the Hungarians finished 11th overall. Thomas Jundt followed 42 minutes behind with his foiling Proto-type QFX in 16th place and thus second best mono, François Thorens CVVT took 19th place with his Psaros 40. Only just 44 of the 430 teams that started finished the race, the only one still in the race this morning is Vincent Jutzi CVV as the first Surprise, - the report of the monohulls.
