Saturday, June 18, 2022
The ILCA 6 Masters World Championship ended yesterday in Mexico with two races held in moderate winds. ----- Due to the large gaps, there were hardly any changes on the podium: Ion Emmett GBR won 11 of the 12 races in the Apprentice (35+), best Master (45+) was Ian Gregory GBR and Jeff Loosemore AUS also continued to dominate the Great Grand Master (+65). ----- Despite small distances, there were no changes in the Grand Masters (+55): Allan Clark CAN won ahead of David Luketina AUS. The big surprise was in the Legends: Although Bill Symes USA won 8 of the 11 races, he had to let Chris Boome USA pass after his second early start disqualification. ----- The rankings and the final report.
