Kieler Woche 2022 - Part 2 - Kiel GER - Day 3

Yesterday the conditions in Kiel remained perfect with sun and sea breeze. In the Mixed 470, Luise Wanser/Philipp Autenrieth GER took the lead with a race win. Yves Mermod/Maja Siegenthaler SUI dropped back to 5th, but remain in the leading group 8 points behind. Light winds are forecast today, followed by the Medal Race tomorrow. In the 49erFX, Sophie Steinlein/Thomas Plössel GER pushed Wilma Bobeck/Rebecca Netzler SWE off the top spot with two race wins. In the 49er, Dickson/Waddilove IRL held on to the top spot, with Rask/Precht DEN moving to within 2 points as best of the day. Joshua Richner/Nilo Schärer SUI managed two race wins in the Silverfleet, they are now 59th. In the Nacra 17 Ruggero Tita/Caterina Banti ITA continued their series of victories, John Gimson/Anna Burnet GBR follow 7 points behind in second place. Kaarle Tapper FIN and Valtteri Uusitalo FIN have taken over the lead in the ILCA 7 with equal points. In ILCA 6, Mara Stransky AUS extended her lead over Mirthe Akkerman NED to 10 points. The iQ-Foil windsurfers continue to be dominated by Sebastian Kördel GER and Lina Erdil GER. At the Musto Skiff World Championships, favourite Rick Peacock GBR has taken the lead, with Alexander Greil SUI following in 13th place. All rankings and the daily report.
