ILCA 6 & 7 - European Championship 2022 - Hyères FRA

With the Practice Race, the joint World Championships of the ILCA 6 & 7 start today in Hyères. Besides the two Olympic fleets, the ILCA 6 men are also taking part. The participation is big ... and competitive! ----- At the start are 177 ILCA 7 from 43 nations and 5 continents - among them the Olympic Champion Matthew Wearn AUS and the World Champion Jean-Baptiste Bernaz FRA on his home waters. For Switzerland, Gauthier and Martin Verhulst SUI and Timo Van Roomen SUI are participating. ----- In the fleet of 117 ILCA-6 women (37 nations, 5 continents), Olympic and World Champion Anne-Marie Rindom DEN is missing. Vice World Champion Maud Jayet SUI is among the extended group of favorites. The newcomers Rosine and Léonie Baudet SUI and Anja Von Allmen SUI will also be competing.
