ILCA 6 & 7 - European Championship 2022 - Hyères FRA - Day 3

Fresh winds around 30kn delayed the first starts in Hyères yesterday, only easing to 10-15kn in the afternoon, just sufficient for one more race. This concludes the qualifications for the final series. ----- Maud Jayet SUI made a premature start in the ILCA 6 and dropped to 4th place, 5 points behind the new leader Hannah Snellgrove GBR. Together in second place, one point behind, are Sarah Douglas CAN and Agata Barwinska POL. Also in the Goldfleet is Anja Von Allmen SUI on rank 41. Rosine Baudet SUI narrowly missed qualifying in 62nd place and will sail in the Silverfleet together with her sister Léonie Baudet SUI (making her debut in ILCA 6). ----- No changes in the ILCA 7: The top three Michael Beckett GR, Elliot Hanson GBR, and Pavlos Kontides GRE each won the race in their group. Gauthier Verhulst SUI in 50th place also managed to qualify for the Gold Fleet. Martin Verhulst SUI and Timo Van Roomen SUI are sailing in the Bronze Fleet. ----- In the ILCA 6 Men, Ben Elvin GBR took the lead. Boris Hirsch SUI is now 29th of the 64 competitors. ----- All rankings and the daily report.
