The qualifying for the Medal Races was completed yesterday in Kiel in continuing light winds. In the ILCA 7, Alexandre Boite FRA has taken the lead, followed 12 points behind by Oskar Madonich UKR in second place. An exciting Medal Race is in the offing: ranks 2 to 6 are only 5 points apart. In the 49er, Lukasz Pryzbtek/Jacek Piasecki POL will start the Medal Race with a 9-point lead over Dominik Buksak/Szymon Wierzbicki POL. Margharita Porri/Stefano Dezulian ITA should grab the gold in the Nacra 17 with a 17-point lead. The Mixed 470 will remain exciting: Theres Dahnke/Matti Cipra GER are leading by just 2 points.
