Olympic Classes - World Championship 2023 - The Hague NED - Day 3

With 12-16kn wind, racing continued in The Hague yesterday. The two skiff classes and the Nacra catamarans completed their qualifications for Gold and Silverfleet with races 7-9. The ILCAs were in action for the first time, and the 470s had their first rest day. ----- In the ILCA 7, Tonci Stipanovic CRO won both races of his group, and Michael Beckett GBR follows in 2nd place with 1/3 on the day. Gauthier Verhulst SUI is in 67th place of the 138 participants. ----- In the ILCA 6, Maria Erdi HUN and Carolina Albano ITA are tied for the lead. Anja Von Allmen SUI started best of the Swiss with ranks 15 and 7, and she is 16th of the 109 participants. Maud Jayet SUI had a hard time and is 30th. ----- No changes in the Nacra 17: Ruggero Tita/Caterina Banti ITA have now won 8 of the 9 races ! Paul Kohlhoff/Alica Stuhlemmer GER and John Gimson Anna Burnett GBR continue to hold positions 2 and 3, while Andrea Aschieri/Anja Camusso SUI are now 42nd. In the 49er, Bart Lambriex/Floris Van de Werken NED defended rank one, but Diego Botin/Florian Trittel ESP moved up to 2 points. With the ranks 1/2/6 in their group, Sébastien Schneiter/Arno De Planta SUI were again among the best of the day and moved up to 4th place, only 12 points behind. As 42nd, Joshua Richner/Nilo Schärer SUI will sail in the Silverfleet as of today. ----- In the 49erFX, Vilma Bobeck/Rebecca Netzler SWE extended their lead to 15 points. The Olympic champions Martine Grael/Kahena Kunze BRA, who narrowly qualified for the Goldfleet in 23rd place, have not been able to gain momentum so far. ----- All rankings and the daily report.
