Olympic Classes - World Championship 2023 - The Hague NED - Day 5

Sunshine and around 15 knots of wind again provided optimal conditions in The Hague yesterday. There were four races each for the iQ-Foil windsurfers. ----- Luuc Van Opzeeland NED took the lead 4 points ahead of Nicolo Renna ITA. Sebastian Kördel GER dropped back to 3rd. Elia Colombo SUI is also doing well in 13th place. ----- In the women's race, Emma Wilson GBR is leading ahead of Hélène Noesmoen FRA. ----- In Formula Kite, Max Maeder SGP leads ahead of Toni Vodisek SLO and Axel Mazella FRA. In the women's fleet, Lauriane Nolot FRA has taken the lead with 3 race wins. Elena Lengwiler SUI is excellent 16th (11.Nation) and thus in the middle of the race for an Olympic starting place. ----- In the ILCA 7, Michael Beckett GBR has moved to the top. Pavlos Kontides CYP and Philipp Buhl GER are the first pursuers. Gauthier Verhulst SUI has dropped back to 80th position. ----- The ILCA 6 did not come into action with the wind disappearing. Maria Erdi HUN leads by one point over Carolina Albana ITA, Anja Von Allmen SUI is an excellent 10th. Maud Jayet SUI in 23rd is also on Goldfleet course. ----- In the 49er, Diego Botin/Florian Trittel ESP have taken the lead. Only 0.2 points behind, the favorites Bart Lambriex/Florian Van de Werken NED have moved up to rank 2. New on rank 3 are James Peters/Fynn Sterritt GBR. Sébastien Schneiter/Arno De Planta SUI remain in the titel race in 4th. ----- In the 49erFX, Vilma Bobeck/Rebecca Netzler SWE are now leading 35 points ahead of Olivia Price/Evie Haseldine AUS. In 15th place, two-time Olympic winners Martine Grael/Kahena Kunze BRA will have to improve today to be in the Medal Race. ----- In the Mixed 470, Keiju Okada/Miho Joshioka JPN have extended their lead to 23 points. Simon Diesch/Anna Markfort GER follow on rank 2. With two 7th places, Yves Mermod/Maja Siegenthaler SU could keep their chances of qualifying for the Medal Race: the 3 last qualification races are scheduled today. As 15th, the Swiss have to make up 11 points today. ----- In the Nacra 17, Ruggero Tita/Caterina Banti ITA are still clearly in the lead. ----- All rankings and the reports.
