Formula Kite - European Championship 2024 - Los Alcazares ESP - Day 1

In inconsistent winds between 5 and 15 knots, the Olympic Kite Foilers' European Championship began yesterday on the Mar Menor, the first major meeting of the new Olympic class after the winter break. ----- Valentin Bontus AUT and Ricardo Pianesi ITA lead the classification with two race wins each in their group. Max Maeder SGP follows in third place with the ranks 1/2. Bruce Kessler SUI also got off to a good start and is the best of the five Swiss in 24th place out of the 85 participants. ----- Poema Newland FRA has taken the lead in the women's competition, two points ahead of Gal Zukerman ISR. Eleanor Aldridge GBR follows in 3rd place, while Elena Lengwiler SUI started her day with 3rd place in the race and is an excellent 11th of the 49 participants after 3 runs. ----- The rankings and the daily report.
