Olympic Classes - Keel Week - Kiel GER - Day 2

Thunderstorms and calms impaired racing on the second day of the Olympic Classes Kiel Week yesterday. Some classes returned even without a valid result. Only the skiff classes sailing closer to the shore completed almost the normal program.
Porebski/Rippey NZL defended their lead in the 49ers, but Gilmour/Turner AUS joined the leaders points-wise. New on rank 3 are Heil/Plössel GER, while Scheidt/Borges BRA descended on the 6th place with medium day results. Andrew and Matthew Mollerus USA advanced on rank 22, Judge Ryan/Hans Henken USA on rank 25 among 68 starters.In the 49ersFX, Victoria Jurczok/Anika Lorenz GER are now 3 points ahead of Tina Lutz/Susan Beuke GER. Stephanie Roble/Maggie Shea USA on rank 17 are now the best USA team among 48 starters, as Kate Shaner/Caroline Atwood USA could not repeat the good results of day one and dropped on the 22nd place overall.
The 470s had no valid race. Bargehr/Mähr AUT and Belcher/Ryan AUS share the first place in the 470 men, and in the 470 women, Loew/Markfort GER are on top in front of Smith/Ryan AUS.
Max Salminen SWE won the only race in the Finns. Overall, Deniss Karpak EST and Nenad Bugarin CRO remain on rank 1 at equal points. In the Nacra 17, the duel between Thomas Zajac/Barbara Matz AUT and Jan-Hauke Erichsen/Ann-Kristin Wedemeyer GER, separated by 2 points only, went on.
