 Olympic Worldcup  Enoshima JPN  Day 6  Mollerus/MacDiarmid USA finish 8th in 49ers  Ramsey CAN and Muller USA in Finns, Brugman/Brugman USA in 470w Medal Races tomorrow
Five Medal Races for the speed classes and windsurfers as well as the last qualification fleetraces for the other classes were concluded today Saturday. ----- Andrew Mollerus/Ian MacDiarmid USA finished as remarkable 4th in the 49er Medal Race and moved up on rank 8 overall. The USA Sailing Team was not represented in the other four events. ----- Atlantic Brugman/Nora Brugman USA defended rank 10 in the 470 women and are qualified for the Medal Race of tomorrow Sunday. Tom Ramshaw CAN as 7th and Luke Muller USA as 10th in the Finns qualified also. Caleb Paine USA on rank 11 however missed the top-10 cut and for him and all other North American competitors, the Enoshima Worldcup event is over. ----- Have a look on the updated overview of all North American competitors and the US Sailing Team Report. --------------------------------------------- The top ranks in the Medal Race events are as follows: ----- In the RS:X women, Yunxiu Lu CHN clearly won ahead of Katy Spychakov ISR. ----- Surprise in the RS:X men where Louis Giard FRA winning the race climbed from 3rd to 1st ahead of Kun BI CHN. ----- Bad luck for the leading Tim Fischer/Fabian Graf GER in the 49ers capsizing in the final downwind and loosing the title to James Peters/Fynn Sterrott GBR up from 5th to 1st. ----- Jump from 5th to 1st also in the Nacra-17 with Quentin Delapierre/Manon Audinet FRA as winners ahead of Ben Saxton/Nicola Boniface GBR. ----- The top ranked competitiors in the five classes sailing the Medal Races tomorrow are: ----- Matthew Belcher/Will Ryan AUS 1st with a 16 point lead on Xammar/Rodriguez ESP in the 470 men. ----- Mia Jerwood/Monique De Vries AUS climbed on top of the 470 women ahead of Silvia Mas/Patricia Cantero ESP. ----- Premature Gold for Pavlos Kontides CYP in the Lasers Standard with a 21 point lead on Matthew Wearn AUS. The long-time second Tonci Stipanovic CRO dived on rank 8. ----- In the Lasers Radial, Emma Plaesschart BEL remained on 1st but Anne-Marie Rindom DEN reduced the backlog on 3 points. ----- Premature Gold also for Nicholas Heiner NED in the Finn 25 points ahead of Josip Olujic CRO. ----- After some postponements, racing took place in Enoshima today in a good 15-20kn seabreeze. ----- All ranking lists and the report of the day. ----- We shall livestream the Medal Races of Sunday on www.sailing-news.com.
