After 6 race days, the three Multi-50-Trimarans closely together already passed the Canaray Islands with Gilles Lamire/Antoine Carpentier FRA new in the lead. ----- In the Open 60s, it becomes evident, that the teams opting for the westward split are the loosers, as the leading group in the South reached the trade winds and the foilers are progressing now at speeds around 20kn, while the boats in the West are still struggling with light winds. ----- 'Charal' with Jérémy Béyou FRA/Christopher Pratt GBR on the first position have already passed the Canaries. Charlie Dalin/Kevin Escoffier FRA on 2nd were 36nm back this morning UTC. Charlie Enright/Pascal Bidegorry USA/FRA on the 4th position are 53nm behind the firsts. ----- The co-favorites Alex Thomson/Neal McDonald GBR having gone West are only 16th with a 313nm backlog. ----- The Class 40 fleet sailing North of Madeira is forced to sail upwind. Ian Lipinski POL/Adrien Hardy FRA are the new leaders 8nm ahead of Aymeric Chappellier/Pierre Leboucher FRA. ----- The race tracker, the news and the onboard videos.
